Im a newbie yes....i have never had to deal with setting the timing on a vehicle. I jsut replaced alot of crap and that includes my timing chain cover, well it has no pointer now so help me out...

Why would some want to take 327 Block and put a 289 crank in it? Thats like "understroking" an engine. I beleive its a 302 but why would someone do this just out of curiousity if anyone could...
