I believe the plug was a mix of wiring from the controls on the signal stalk, brake sw or VSS buffer (w/o looking @ a diagram..)
The vac hose went to brake switch and vented the cruise vac diaphragm...

1LE, I believe he literally wants the entire 4thgen tank (completely) under his current metal batt tray w/o cutting anything on the car and the filler neck poking up thru the side fender/frame rail...

You'll never get it to fit under the tray and even if you did, the filler neck would not be very accessible.
My pass side undertray is already occupied with electricals and I wasn't interested in...

The best you can do is take other body lines out of spec...

Presuming you mean the cycling switch for a/c... light green gets +12v from the hvac controls inside the car and the light blue passes the +12v thru the switch and eventually ends up at the a/c...

Considering you're not going to use the stock gauges or senders, chopping the cluster on the end won't affect the remaining gauges.
It may, however, affect the back lighting circuit.

They are a 10mm hex head / M6(?) bolt with a captured washer, just like the fender bolts, and looks to maybe be a 2.0 thread pitch? Fender bolts are 1.0 pitch iirc....

On an '87. the secondary fan gave no s--ts about the a/c. The secondary fay was a tacked on solo cooling fan. As scooter simply says though, lower fan switch (temp from ecm) temp will make it primary...

Hot at all times is primary power to the fan motor (switched via the relay contact). The switched is for the coil side of the relay (what make the contact close).

I used self stick closed cell foam to make the bellow for my 4th gen dash
a'c vent adapter. I'm not sure why the divert doors are covered in foam, My dash swap isn't final so, I've not cleaned them...

It's not actually green... it just happens to discolor/probably mold over 25+ years
It is just open cell foam. You can probably find it online in peel-n-stick form or by the sheet and glue in place....
