That's what I thought too...but I'm thinking I'm wrong :(

My controls looks more like the one attached. As you can see the grey and purple are attached to a second rotary vacuum switch...

i've tried twice and cannot get to it. no clearance to get any tools around the switch. and im too 'scared' to try and move the dipstick tube in case...
