Re: 89 iroc-z z28 interior wiring

You might want to consider a single vehicle alldata subscription for this project. First vehicle I believe is $30 for one year or $50 for 5 years. Unless someone comes up with something better for...

Re: 90 firebird no headlights and dash lights!

Only getting 6 volts there sounds like a possible high resistance connections. Make sure every connection is clean and tight. You could consider disconnecting the power feed to the light and running...

Battery posts

88 IROC Z here. I always had a battery that had side and top posts. This allowed me to use the top posts for the stereo and alarm power connections. It's hard to find batteries like that these days....

Re: No dash lights or radio

You should start your own thread. You need to inspect for a short in your wiring somewhere. Bare wire touching metal. Did you do any work in the vehicle right before this started? If so, that could...

Re: 86 Camaro Z28 - One Headlight

Ok, we know you have voltage on the driver side. I believe the passenger side is paralleled right off the driver side. Check the ground wire on the passenger side. If it is ok, trace the wiring to...

Re: Power outlet help

That's exactly where I put my extra plugs. I made a little bracket that held two of them. I used the existing screw in the dash to hold it. No new holes in the car. I'm kind of anal about that.

Re: 86 Camaro Z28 - One Headlight

I would measure voltage at the bulb socket. That would be a good first step in troubleshooting this.

Re: Power outlet help

That would be more than enough for a GPS. Sizing a fuse is more about the size of wire being used. The larger wire you are using, the bigger fuse you can use to protect it.

Re: Starter Wiring shorts

You can easily differentiate the tail lights from the brake lights by checking the front. The parking lights should come on with the tail lights not the brake lights. So you found system voltage on...

Re: PLEASE HELP. Hatch motor pull down stuck running

Re: Starter Wiring shorts

I would check all fuses first. Troubleshoot the starter wire by checking for 12 volts at the wire feeding the solenoid. The small one. It should get system voltage when you try to crank the car. If...

Re: Power outlet help

Look around on the fuse block for empty slots to slide the spade into. Might be one marked IGN. Use an inline fuse holder there. Should be good to go.

Re: Help

Check all of your fuses. Check them good too.

The orange wire should be powered by a 20 amp fuse. The yellow should be from that 10 amp radio fuse. I find it hard to believe that fuse is good.

Likely the wiring in between for corroded connections. Amp gauge, did you check it's fuse? There is a cluster pin out post from an 88 hanging around. Check and see if it is useful for you.
