i am getting ready to build a 383 for a 93 camaro. i just wanted to see what works well with this motor. anyone have any dyno #s for a lt1 motor stroked to 383 thanks

i was thinking if they just sold you a low output tbi long block maybe the cam isnt a roller. cause my dad got a 350 long block from auto zone a while back and i remember that it was not a roller cam...

if you have vortc heads i would use them. and if your gonna put a cam in it why not get a better one than stock.and do you know if the new motor has a roller cam i it.

i would test the ignition module . i dont know if there is a way to check it in the car .i dont think there is but i may be wrong. just pull it out and take it to auto zone or a similar parts store...

yea thats another reason why i am considering floating pins for this .easy to disassemble. usually i use pressed on the fuel injected motors cause thats what they come with. but i have built a few...

i looked and it is still there found out the computer has hypertec chip to . i will keep that but the stock chip is yours if you want it. i really dont know what its worth though

that cam would run good in a 305 tpi. but is your car a 86 if it is and your motor is stock then it dont have a roller cam in it. so to use that cam you would need to get a set of retro fit roller...

i have a 86 iroc clone with a 327 in it. carb not tpi. i build the motor for a weekend driver i could take to the strip here are there. anyways point is motor makes 418 bhp at flywheel and 389 ftlbs...

i used eagle esp 6 in rods in a 383 i had in my camaro. they worked great no problems. and i just got another set for a 400 project i am working on. for the price you cant beat the deal

my first f body was a 86 iroc-z well kinda it had the iroc body pkg looked and said iroc. but no tpi just carb 305 that was blown up i got the car for 300 buck bought a 84 camaro 305 for 250 bucks...

i was reading your post on this subject cause i have a set of injectors i just got off a guy and i wanted to test them. after reading this i did and they all read 16.8-17.0 except 1 it reads 12.5...

ok i bought a 86 transam with a lb9 but it a bad cam and no oil pressure. but i already have the stock 305 tpi out of my iroc i am going to put that in there and i wanted to know what you guys...
