Worth mentioning that you should be changing the spark plugs AFTER this Seafoam procedure. Pretty sure you'll find the electrodes all sooty or caked on with gunk from all the combustion chamber...

It's cold out and I decided to go for a ride before the oil change to get it right. The AC Delco 1218 oil filter was pretty stuck on tight, maybe I overtightened it but I managed to get it loosened...

Well I got the heater core out after yanking on it. The Chinese aftermarket part seems to match up so I'll be reporting my progress later. Thanks to those who viewed only. :rolleyes:

I removed the water pump ( 4 easy bolts ) and garden hosed the sediment and flushed out all sorts of brown gunk. Runs much cooler now on a stock 195* thermostat.

I have heard using Lestoil. It's a kitchen purpose item that you add into these tanks and seal them off with some water inside. Shake, wait overnight and dump the gunk away.

Update:

Failed my 2nd test after replacing all the mentioned parts above, even the O2 sensor. I put on at least 100 miles of break in cruising since this past Sunday.:mad: BUT I did manage to pass...

Changed the O2 Sensor. The tool to remove it was more expensive than the sensor. That sensor was a SOB after a few squirts of Kroil Penetrant & a breaker bar.
