The FIRST overcomes the airflow limitations of a stock TPI thanks to larger runner size, but the physics of the TPI design it's still RPM limited. The volume capability of the FIRST helps mask that.

Yes, I remember seeing the in/out time for hwy mode... I think default is lean cruise for 240s, then normal for 30s or something like that, I'm guessing that's to help keep chamber temps from getting...

I have a 195 thermostat in my truck, and have no problems with the throttle... the only coolant passage is across the front of the intake (Vortec heads).

What do your AE and PE parameters look...

So I redid the vacuum lines... the vacuum fpr is off the rear connection, and the MAP sensor is now off the front right manifold vacuum port... since the TBI/Carb adapter is an open style I'm not too...

Well the only source of a leak I've found is the GM 454 TBI/Spreadbore adapter, it has very little surface area around the outer edge of the adapter, it isn't flat all the way across like many carbs...

Well, it's slowly been on its way out... Eventually slipping a little more as time progressed, it's the same trans as when the truck had a 4.3, truck has 252k miles now, no idea on the trans.
