Re: 1987 Players Trans Am

Still for sale. Although rare, too much wrong/missing stuff, Brembos etc are all guaranteed gone and I doubt you can find any of that stuff now.

Re: 92 Formula 383 6spd

Rear spoiler, engine pics. Lots more photos available if anyone is interested. Someone should buy this car, it's a blast to drive and a waste to not be raced somewhere. Proven bulletproof so far.

Yeah I'm getting a lot of that. For the right price I might deliver it to somewhere on the Hot Rod Power Tour route. A buddy of mine is heading down from here.

Re: Rotors: Blank -vs-Cross drilled -vs- slotted - The Good, The bad, The ugly

I had a CASC guy tell me that they experimented with all kinds of rotors in roadracing, and they found that the Delco solid blank rotors held up the best.

Re: Simple question, complex answer - why do TPI's struggle to make power

Whatever you do, spec everything to keep the powerband WELL below 5000 rpm. If your cam and heads are expected to make power from, say, 3500-6500 rpm, you will be sadly disappointed in your TPI as...

Are those good numbers to look for? Or are those stock parameters? Maybe it doesn't matter on cold start . . . How much to bring them down at once to be noticeable?

Re: TPI Combo - Low Dyno Results

Almost 1.3hp/ci? Pretty optimistic I'd say...EVERYTHING would have to be bang-on to pull that number and still be streetable. Your dyno results are probably in the ballpark with a slushbox.

I think its RPO sheet is even shorter, and now it's missing the AC too . . . definitely purpose-built, with no cruise control or power anything except hatch.
