11-12 mpg if i baby it, been like that forever, wide band reads very nice...it does sound like a sewing machine, i thought it was the roller rockers.

I hammered on it the first 8 k miles, and eased off quite a bit.

they were NOT off the shelves springs, afr heads talked me into the 8019's, supposedly they are good for the 280 xfi, I have been warned by my shop that even not running the valve are kept opened and...

it is a 6E mask, it went over my head with the "$15 bit 5 address" comment
it says "request for close loop purge" it's the other way around the default is is purges in open loop I believe...so...

bosch III rebuilt and flowed by jon at fic the engine dieseled at 2k miles,albeit slight and seemed to go away with my jiggling the tune

no I checked the solenoid, stays closed near idle and the vacuum valve atop the can works fine and shuts down with no vacuum

Everything I've read indicates a advance floor and a ceiling for all engines, based on gasoline's burn rate, VE, cam overlap, etc.

Tried closed loop while emulating, ran like crap, then I would plug the "good" chip back in that programed only for open loop and now everything is lean across the board..

That is actually my first concern, the ECM "correcting" the tuner's changes back to stoich; so what you are saying with your post is your ECM was not able to achieve 128 BLM at idle due to the CAM,...
