When I replaced mine only a little bit dripped out maybe 2 measuring cups worth but this could also vary for you but if you dont want to drain the whole thing I would just place a typical oil drain...

Sounds like you need to adjust your timing a bit...

As far as spark plugs go all I know are Delcos cuz thats all I use and both the R46TS and R43TS is correct for the L98 but the heat range isnt...

Yes because you can adjust your timing to get rid of knock but honestly if it ends up needing it I would just spend the extra 10 cents a gallon itll...

Yup, Just got off the phone with COMP cams... My camshaft was supposed to be installed at 108* but failed to mention it was grounded at 108* so I assumed like normal cams it was ground at the ICL...

Starter Solenoid on new motor

For some reason the starter solenoid keeps dying on my motor all it takes is to lift the car and take a screwdriver to the terminals and it will start again

Im not sure whats causing it to do this...

a breakdown:
My motor is an 87 2 bolt main seal OE roller block
2 bolt cuz TPI chokes at 5500rpms so 4 bolt isnt necessary would have been nice but I got it for a great deal

It is a stock 4.00"...

Same thing happened to me not too long ago it was a rod bearing and that noise is just that rod slappin against the crank.... at least thats how it was with mine... but it is really loud I know lol
