Went last year and had a good time.
Going again this year.
Mostly 4th gens.
We need a stronger 3rd gen showing. (1st and 2nd gens too!)
Going to autocross this year.
LB9 w/ auto?
Not too sure she can hang with the LS1's and LT1's.
Its just for the fun of it though.

everyone will be in an f-body.

looks good when there is a long line of them going down the road on one of the road tours

Yes I know, only thing is the GTA has 193,3xx miles on the original motor and rear end.
I just got it back last Tuesday from getting the trans rebuilt and the radiators plastic tank split Saturday.
I am going to try to get it fixed and running before Saturday but not sure yet.
This was supposed to be my vacation week, had to cut that short to fix the car.

Was a blast.
Good to meet quickchicken ......again.
We had a blast at the autocross!
The LB9 held her own.
She got 3rd!!!!!!
There were 8 total 3rd gens in the field of 20.
Myself, Oli, and Quickchicken.
Not sure if any of the other 3rd gens were members.

Have to admit that we all looked good up there putting up good numbers against the LS1's.
Was glad to see more third gens. Last year there was 1 at the auto cross and 8 this year.
Need more next year!!!!

i had a good time auto-xing with you guys and congrats on the third place !
it all depends on what happens next year. im planning to go to the T/A nats instead and we are selling our house and that is the deciding factor for any of my events next season.
hopefully i can track down my vibration. that was really the only down part of my whole weekend.

High Guys! I am mad at my self now. I didn't know several of you were on this board would be there. Help me put faces with the cars and names on here.

My wife was driveing the Black T/A and I was driveing the GTA. Which one of you was right ahead of me in Tech when I had problems passing because of a loose wheel bearing? Here is your picture from last year next to Scott.

1. Art 46.31
2. Steve 46.84
3. Joe 49.27
4. Elie 49.79

My wife was in the Black T/A that had to have John ride with her.

She is adictted now and can't wait until next year. She was so scared at first. We are going back next month to the C3 thing there and do it again. I got a friend who will let me use his C3 because I am painting it for him right now...

This Gta had one heck of a paint job on it. Was it any of your's? My GTA is in the upper right corner

I had the dark red '91 Z28 (I'm Joe).
Still proud of how well the she (my car) held up on the course.

The black GTA you ask about is a guy named Tony.
He has Ohio plates but is from South Carolina.
He hung out with us at the Gathering in Atlanta.
He ate with us at the Homestead this year.
Did not see him after that.
Great guy and awesome car.
He just did a 6-speed conversion on it.

Dog gone it!
Wish I knew you guys were members too.
Me and Oli were checking out the you cars at the track.

That is something to really be proud of!!! You know how many LS1s you beat!!! You're one heck of a driver to make 3rd place!!! You should be proud of that trophy!

I should have checked here before we went. Didn't think about it at the time. I am not very active here during the summer, to much going on. Spend most of my free time boating on the Ohio river. Next year we all need to park togather and really make a showing. I am really worried about the fewer numbers every year. But they have already schedulled next years event so we have atleast one more year.

gta ta,
Where you at in KY?

I thought there were a few more third gens there this year.

Atleast at the autocross.
Oli was the only one last year in his red '91 1LE.

Ever go to the gathering in Atlanta?

Owensboro Ky. North of NCM 70 miles right on the Ohio river

No. The farest we have been was SLP day at National trail raceway outside of dayton ohio. Wife got hooked on drag racing there. She won't let me drive...

Is Atlanta worth going to.

Hey guys I didn't get to make it to the museum cause by the time I got to Bowling Green it was after 5:00 pm. I did race all night though. I have a new best of 11.02 @ 122 mph. It ran 11.20 @ 120 mph on motor and with a 100 shot at mid track it went the 11.0's twice. So close to tens. Oh well maybe next time. I really wanted to meet some of you guys, too. Hey quickchicken, was that picture taken at Memphis 05? The reason I say that is because I saw the red numbers at the top of the windshield. My number has been 109 for the past two years.

yes that was me in front of you GTA T/A. im glad ya got to run and the loose bearing thing was a easily fixed issue. i think i remember that pic being taken.
and yes the gathering is well worth going to. i went to the G-5 event and had a blast. im hoping to have things in order to go to G-10.
pending whats happening around BG time and if i make it we outta get together the first night and go have dinner next year. my hats off to your wife for getting out there with the rest of us and going at it.

94 6-speed, yup that was me at NFME. i also am a member of the third gen list for atleast the past 5-6 years. i live right across from where the event is held and when the event is here in mem, im the go to guy when someone breaks.im a road course person and worked 2 years to get my car ready for track duty this year.

if everyone here attends next year i might hafta skip the nats and hang with the 3-G brotern. BTW that white 3-G camaro that was at NCM was my friends B4C that he had just gotten about 2-3 weeks prior to the event. GTA T/A , that my friend that talked to you about his 88 like yours and he rode up with the fella in the B4C.
i should be able to drag about 3 more 3-Gs next year that couldnt make this event due to other reasons. there would have been a white 88 GTA, a white RS, and a 85 T/A 5 speed that works with me at comp.

Just checking in with everbody, had a ball this year! Looking foward to G10 already! I was the guy in the white Iroc hanging out with fireball451. Got to meet QUICKCHICKEN and his buddies in the B4C and hooked with old buddies from past events. Hope to see everybody again next year. Hopefully there won't be any any catastrophic weather events or ridiculous gas price hikes.

I'll bring it next year, I thought I better take the Iroc somewhere at least once this year before it got to mad at me. Thanks for the compliment man, I got some Torq Thrusts on it now. It looks niiiiiiiiice! Hopefully if all goes well this next year, one of our buddies with a factory yellow 87 formy will come and it should be something to see.

cytruffle - cool pic of my car man, I love it. I've got a good pic of Joe and I standing by our cars I can e-mail to you. Love those chrome wheels on yours!

fireball451 - check your e-mail man, I sent you a pic of the "revised" times from autocrossing. Sorry man, I had to do it!

yup, i did what i said i was gonna do. after motley crue i cut it, actually i cut it oct 3rd. motley was the day after the event BTW.
as for making G-10 thats looking very slim now as the organizers for the F body mailing list event planned the event may 19-21 and thats almost ontop of the weekend for the gathering.
i would LOVE to make the 10th event but being the dates are so close i dont think i could get the time off like that. plus saving for both events would be a real PITA considering i think i found my vibration i was talking about at BG.
its looking like some bearings went south. if it gets tooo spendy im goiing ahead with the TKO build that will run me $1100 but can handle 400hp. if that happens the NFME will start looking slim as well.
i'll check the site out. BUT i have a hight poss of making BG again.
