I have 1600x1200 res if anyone wants a specific pic. These have been shrunken down to 640x480 for a faster load.

Agreed, this gathering kicked seriously sweet (sweaty) booty.

1st thing, you Tucsonians deserve huge amounts of praise. You threw a BBQ together and made us Phoenicians welcome.

Tom, Thanks for getting us on post and cooking!
Dirk and your brother, many thanks for the grill and the cleanup!

Everyone else, thanks for a great gathering.

The teaser shot...I'll get the rest of the 201 MB of pictures up sometime tomorrow.

Chris

cg91ta's been spending the past 2 1/2 hours uploading the pics to my server.. once they're up I'll be PMing the attendees with the URL... which should be in about an hour, assuming I'm back from a little road trip I *just* got reminded I'm taking.

I'm hosting them as a distribution point.. not for linking to pages.. these things are averaging 2 megs a pop. Downloading them from me at full speed, that means about 2 seconds each. (1.1M SDSL (120k/s).. much better than cg91ta trying to get them all out via 256k (20k/s) *** upstream.. but even for me, that'll require about 40 minutes of capped out transfer to get the full set to someone..

Methinks 10% size thumbnails are in order

Quick explination: while we were at sonic I offered cg91ta some bandwidth, since ***'s upload sucks, so he only has to do it once for the big pics. Gave him an account on the server in my closet, he uploaded the pics this morning. And here they are.

The link is out to:
azvolfan
5siz
88aziroc
CraZ-28
2kickassbirds
dj's b4c
cg91ta (of course)
dirk
gta4me (I figure 91formulababe is included by this)
--- (and damn, chris's camera really does make her car look sweet)
justins86bird
chrisformula355 (I tried, anyway.. your pm inbox is full)
90rs305
mrt89rs
tonyc
azcamarophreak
geardrive63

I missed people. I know I did. The send list was based on the group pic at rita ranch park.. and even then I couldn't figure out who everone was... so, if I missed someone, those who have the link feel free to forward it to people who were there. Those who don't have the link, feel free to PM me and bitch me out for forgetting who you are

Hey Justin, I'm assuming you have more pics than that.. in fact, I'm assuming everyone has more pics.. I'll set up public galleries like the one for cg91ta's stuff, and host redistribution of the full size images.. for a slight fee, in a way.. I want all the full size ones (hey, look, you have to do that for me to set up the gallery anyway.. hmmmmmm...)

Aye.. I didn't want to leave everyone else out, but 203 megs is alot for someone to be browsing through.. after I made the thumb gallery, it was sheer chance that I noticed it also made medium sized copies of the pics instead of linking it to the originals.. once I noticed that, and noticed the entire set was smaller than just one of the original pics, I saw absolutely no reason not to post 'em.. perhaps I'll go through and redo the resizing, though.. I can deal with 5-10 megs of dialup friendly pics just as easily.. but that's another day =)

And Chris, bigtime thanks for the 100 pics. The sun seems to have disagreed with you to some extent, but they're all superb quality. Your camera even made my car look good

Don't forget Amber's. It looked pretty good too. Good thing we took those pics before we went to Sonic and she added that beauty mark!

Alright.. I've got another batch job running with larger pics and larger thumbnails.. should turn out a little better... will be up within 5 mins.

EDIT: First enlarge wasn't good enough for me.. total size came up to near 4 megs for the folder @ 450 max pixels per side.. brought it up so all the pics ended up as 640x427, and upped the jpeg quality, about 8 megs total.. they look decent now..

EDIT2: I've come to the realization that I'll prolly change this gallery 5 more times before I'm happy with it and have a standard for future galleries.. but the picture size should be constant. You can read the custom plates on the individual pics now..

EDIT3: Edited default style.. Removed all the captioning stuff from the right side of the pic page, deleted some wasted vertical space.. images officially fit in window when viewed at 1280x1024.. they look good to me. Apologies to those with lower res.. I'll work on you guys later

It is STILL too damn long!!! Shrink that thing down. And remember, only one sig per thread.

I have to scroll over just to read most of the thread. Mine is still a little long, too, but I have yet to work on a new one with the gathering pics. Should be much better in a few days.

I got about 45 pics in Photoshop format (5mb each). I can convert them all to jpegs. Should make them a tad over 1mb.

Laf.. I doubt the 'dialup friendly' gallery (which I think I'm leaving alone now.. unless I attach the galleries to my page and start giving them the background works) I have up is really dialup friendly at this point... I'm just so unused to dialup speeds I have trouble imagining 5k/s

Justin: Save 'em as max quality jpegs, account is being set up as we speak. Upload.. uhh.. whenever.

Naw.. yer not late.. my house lost power today and my server uses an ATX motherboard which I didn't set up for constant-on power... though I have no idea why I haven't gone in and jumpered that yet. Everything's back up.

Look at the pictures. In the first pic, everyone's lined up all happy. Second pic, 91FormulaBabe (I think) and a red Firebird and parked the other way. Third pic, they turned around, but their hoods aren't open. Fifth pic, the cars are all turned, seeming to bow at the white Camaro at the end. Sxith pic is Tom and Eric chowin down. heh

Soldier of Fortune? Awww damn, you don't want none.

Awesome powers of observation! Yes, each pic we are in different places. We all had to take a trip to the gas station twice we moved around so much! LOL actually for the most part no movement till that last picture that we tried to be artsy...
