Nope, too much going on at my shop to do the swap, so it looks like hopefully Tues. night I will get a chance to do it. If not, might have to wait till this weekend. I just want to be able to drive her without injuring my left leg for once!!!

I work for a place called Vivid Racing here in Tempe. It'll only take me a couple hours as well, I've got a lift and one of the most awesome tranny jacks I've ever seen. Its just a matter of the shop not being needed when I wanna do it...

Been working here for about 3 months now, and it's friggin GREAT. I'm a performance aftermarket wholesaler. Right now I'm at work in shorts/t-shirt/flipflops and half a pizza in front of me and not only could anybody care less, it's normal. Quite nice when both the owners are 25

Anywho, did the tranny swap last night, and it was a COMPLETE SUCCESS!!! It seriously feels like a brand new car. All my lost power that I had when I first bought the car I can feel coming back (and with the LO3, ANY power gain is easy to feel ). Unfortunatly Nic and I were to focused and too greasy to take pictures of the actual swap, but we will be dismantaling my old tanny here soon to see what it looked like. As soon as I get them I'll throw them up here...

hehe.. doubt it. didn't you say it was a 200 shot? Then again. GO FOR IT so you can finally come get my engine!

Bruce, I'm curious to see what you run now with the new tranny. Think your 1/4 will be any better? Does it hook up much better?

Not 100% sure yet. The clutch only had 10 miles on it (if that, the part numbers were still clear as day on the main part of the clutch) so I'm gonna give it a hundred or so before I really try any kind of launching. And actually I'm more worried about traction now, cuz I think I'm going to be able to get in gear a lot more solid now and my crappy H rated 7 1/2" tires just won't be up for the challenge. But, I must say my engine has not felt this strong since I bought it (when I ran consistent 15's) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Seriously, this thing feels like a new car now!

the kit can go from 75-200..... diff. size pills and all.... if i use it on this engine it'll only be a 75 shot.

Yeah actually I did, and he said he would only charge ya $55 an hour since you are a friend of mine (instead of the normal $75). Other than that, it'd be standard by-the-book priceing as far as hours go.

Don't need to remove the heads for a cam swap dude. Just the intake manifold, distributor, loosen the rocker arms so you can pull the pushrods out, and of course the water pump, balancer, and timing cover.

I've heard that commercial before, she fell for it hook/line/sinker too! We will have to make another trip out to firebird sometime soon. Once I get a good tune on this car I want a rematch David!
