proportioning valve "mod" Brake Warning Light Question

Has any one that has remove the front plug and plunger unit to boost rear brake pressure experience whether the brake warning light stays on, or off, or even functions properly at all?

This subject was mentioned in the previous valve mod post, but never answered to my knowledge. I'd like to know this info before is mess with it at all-from a safety standpoint.

I did it to mine, no light, my only problem was that the stock valve was junk. I ended up putting on an adjustable on mine. My buddy's 89 GTA we did the same thing to his, seems to work better and the brake light doesn't come on.

Did the mod today and it made a vast improvement in braking performance. No brake light problems either. After chasing so many different things (master cyl, booster test, caliper rebuilds, bleed ,bleed, and bleed) I can't belive this helps so much. This would make a great tech article.

I haven't gotten to mine yet, I'm waiting for a week day off next week so i can run over to a local industial hardware place(open only on weekdays) and match up a plug fitting in place of the original plug. I don't like the idea of altering the existing plug nut. When I find out wht size and type of nut of plug unit I use, I will post it for others, I'll have to match up the existing one's threads to the new plug to see what size we need.
