4th gen suspension ?'s
hey guys... havent been on this board in a while.. got into the 4th gen scene a while back so i've been at ls1.com... anyhow, i got my car (01 SS) a month or so ago and have already been bitten by the hp bug.. i got an air lid for it and that helped but now i'm looking for a little more power. i had my eyes set on a hotcam, but after driving around a while last night racing a friend (she drive's a 93 rx7) i realized more power is not the answer... i friggin spin in first and second so more power is pointless unless i'm racing on the highway. Anyhow, my question is what do i really need to help get all this anger to the tires
? I was thinking a torque arm and/or panhard bar but i'm really not sure. it's been so long since i've payed close attention to suspension mods i've forgotten which parts are necessary for anything more than stock power. i seriously don't want to change springs/shocks... and the car is strictly for the street. also, i'm not gonna get into buying drag radials as i am mortal and am on a mortal's budget
thx for the help - josh

Start with LCA relocation brackets... less than $100 installed, major hookup improvement especially if your car has wheel hop like all the rest of these do

that sounds about like what i was thinking.. i just read 'relocation' and chills go through me.. sounds serious
i know a guy down the street that welds so i guess i could have him do it. i assume detailed instructions come with the brackets?
i read on a guys webpage(he drags an 87 GN) all about suspension geometry.. and it got way over my head quick.. i guess i could/should give spohn a call before i order the stuff and talk to them a bit..

Spohn seems to have the 4th gen stuff nailed down 100% I would speak to him before you spend a penny.
