Rear lower control arms
Does anyone have a closeup picture or detailed description of how the stock rear lower control arms are installed. I'm removing the Lakewoods and I forgot how the original were mounted.
Thanks
Thanks

No pic handy, but the stockers go in so that they are an inverted "U", with the bend in the channel on the top...that's it.

Thanks Ed, I got that part, but I think there is a front or back to them. One end of the control arm ( at the top ) is smooth and the other end has a tooth looking pattern cut into the steel. Also, there is three bolt holes though the control arm, two holes have a bolt and one hole at one end of the arm doesn't (not sure of the purpose of all that). Also, not sure if the empty hole end of the arm goes to the front or the back of the car.

On the earlier LCAs, there was a brace bolted into them, hence you have the 2 bolts showing on your arms holding the brace in. Look in there and you should see it. These are stronger than the LCAs that don't have them. I'm pretty sure the empty hole goes toward the front. I don't think it will matter either way. It won't make that much of a difference.
