C5 front rotor offset? (paging toddlsf)
Would anyone happen to know the exact offset of a C5 front rotor? (Distance from the inboard face of the disc to the inboard face of the surface that sits against the hub)
Also, what is the exact diameter of the rotor? Is is 12.6" or 13"?
Thanks,
Tom

Thanks Ed.
Maybe someone will chime in with the offset. If the offset is withing my usable range I may be using C5 rotors with my front Wilwood caliper setup. C5 rotors are slightly cheaper and easier to get then a two piece rotor. Especially if the C5 rotors are lightly used.

Justin,
Do you have a link to that comparison on the corvette forum? I couldn't find it.

Thanks Justin.
Too bad they didn't list an exact diameter or offset on that page. I'm looking for someone who can mic the dimensions so they can be pretty close to exact. I need to know them so I can set my caliper distances.

I just measured my PowerSlot C5 rotors that I have sitting here until the rest of my parts get in. The diameter is 12.75" and the offset is 1.5" Let me know if you need any other dimensions.

Steve, thanks for the measurements. You're absolutely sure the 1.5" offset is the same distance as in the picture below??
...
If that's the case then that means the built in hat has a .250" offset. Wow, that is small.

Yep, the distance in your picture is 1.5 inches. Sorry that I didn't see this post earlier. I went on vacation for about a week and a half and am now just catching up. FYI, you can get the C5 rotors really cheap at NAPA. I think they are only like $20 - $25.

Hey guys,
I have just bought the calipers and rotors from NAPA $23ea ( man thats so cheap I can nery beliv it ) off ebay to do this swap and have heard conflicting opinions on the thickness of steel required for the adapter plates. Did you use 1/2" or 5/8"? Thanks
