Axle Decoding HELP!!!!

im trying to find out what kind of axle is in my car and i know that you can pull off the diff cover and find out that way but i just want to know now just out of curiosity.
all i found on the axle was
BQ
GM N
22522676
K3 D _ _ 4
(this is on the bottom of the diff. and those blanks are unreadable.)
now i already looked on the passenger front side of the axle tubing but i didnt find anything
can you tell anything by this stuff

None of those numbers are any good. You'll have to recheck the front of the passenger tube towards the inside. Clean the axles with a wire brush. The numbers will be there.

If the diff is still original, it will be 6JG
3.08 gears and an open diff.
