Very interesting. I've never seen a cross-member like the one pictured. However, if you compare it with the ones in the following link, it "appears" to be situated in the same place on the frame. You might contact Lon at TDS for more info.

They're not gonna fit. The alstons attach at the frame rails behind the factory crossmember and the tubing goes downward from there... so you wouldnt be able to put your tranny crossmember back in.
I'd go with the Spohn, UMI, or any other connector that installs near the rockers.

Its a TTA specfic peice. TTA's came with 200-4R's which are a bit longer than a 700.

Lon's (alstom) won't work. I asked Lon about them many years ago for my TTA.
Any Spohn style will work, you might like to double check the clearence at the flexbit on the down pipe. You should be fine as you have the stock system. With the THDP (3 inch) system you will have to cut it so the flex bit moves towards the center of the car about one inch or so. I got custom made SFC's similar to Spohn's on my TTA with a THDP and had to modify it slightly to get the clearens needed.
