pro kit?

I need a favor from you guys. I have hooker super comp long tubes and currently I have about 3.5" of ground clearance with them. The car still has the stock springs and I know for sure they are worn out and the car is lower than stock. I'm pretty sure I'll only lose maybe another .5" or so with the pro kit but I wanted to know what height you guys have from the ground to the center of the fender. Here are some pics I took:

rear:

Re: pro kit?

I'd go measure but my 84 Z28 is up in the air right now.

I put my pro-kit on when the car had 220,000 miles and it ended up dropping the car around 1.25" at each corner.

Re: pro kit?

I had 27" front & 28" rear with stock IROC springs, 245/50/16 tires, isolators in place, and 1/2 tank of fuel.

Re: pro kit?

isolators are those black rubber things on top of the springs some people remove them and put heater hose on top. also know as the "heater hose mod." its a cheap and effective way to lower your car.

Hey thanks for the info. Still learning something everyday. Isn't that dangerous though?

Re: pro kit?

dont know if its the smartest way to lower your car because i dont know what will center the spring on the top.

Re: pro kit?

yea thats the prob i had with it. i still put the isolators back on when i did my sportlines... and i still got that height i posted above. if i took out the isolators i would have dropped an extra 1/2" and when i tell u its low already.... i cant even get an iron jack under my car to jack it up, i have to start with a low profile aluminum race jack lol. i have true duals, headman LT, 3"xpipe, with 3" boxed force mufflers and turndowns and i would have never made it if i didnt modifly the undercarage alot. still the mufflers are kinda low but i'll be fixing that in the spring.

the sportlines are the safest lowest drop in my opinion. other kits lower more but i cant see how my car could get anylower... my kmember is like 3-4" above the ground lol
