Re: wounder bar

no brackets needed. if u dont have some one to help you be sure to use a jack to support the weight of the front sway? bar? its quite heavy and hurts lol. install is pretty simple. unbolt 4 bolts put wonder bar in between frame and sway bar brakets, bolts every thing back up.

I wasn't aware there was any "improvement" you could really feel with the wonder bar.... its main purpose is to stiffen the crack prone steering box area of the frame.

"improvements" are a must because you do not want to WONDER why you spent the money.

Re: wounder bar

Our front ends have alot of flex, the Wonder definitely makes the front end more rigid and the difference can be felt. I can not imagine driving my car w/o one!

Re: wounder bar

If you feel an improvement, the area that the steering box brace BandAids, is probably already torn/weakened. At any rate, the Wonderbar question and its significance is an old one. A lot of info about the brace and its effect can be found in the following link:

I have checked my frame again and again in the steering box area, it is solid as can be, it's an Arizona car and very clean underneath. After driving the car w/o the wonderbar and then w/it, I noticed an improvement, especially in hard cornering situations.
My 87 IROC had one and after driving the 91, I felt the 87 handled better, so I took the wonder bar off of the (smashed) 87 and put it on the 91. I still feel the best improvement to a third gen is SFC's...
