stuck rear drum help...........
i need some help, my right rear drum is stuck but not stuck in the center.
its like the drum is catching on something on the outside, not the center.
its not the typical rusted center, that is fine, its like the drum is catching something.
id no not want to pry on it but it only move about 1/2 inch out and thats it.
other side no problem just come off.

Sounds like it is sticking on the brake shoes. Try to adjust the brakes (through the hole in back) to loosen it up... or just pry the hell out of it, your replacing the shoes anyway.

Back off the star wheel through the slot. You may need to use a 2nd screwdriver to hold the lever out of the way. It is designed to tighten only and take up the slop. Lifting the lever out of the way allows you to turn it back in bringing the shoes closer together. you have likely worn a groove in the drum or the drum wasn't turned after someone ran the shoes too far down previously, wearing grooves fom the ritets in the drum. The new shoes will quickly fill these grooves, but it makes getting them off more difficult. good luck, Lon.
