PST Steering Linkage-87 IROC
I bought a PST kit off Ebay-$225. Installed the idler arm and centerlink, no problems. Proceeded to install the tie rods on the passenger side, hand tightened the castle nuts, loosed up the adjuster so as to not bind up the tapers before torquing them to 35 ft lbs-- but I never got to 35 lbs. The nut and shaft on the outer stripped long before it came close. Has anyone else had probs with PST stuff?? I've bought other stuff from them before, but have a feeling this is Chinese!! I tried to chase the threads to no avail and for laughs put the old casltle nut on and its definately larger than the PST threads. It seems like the taper is wrong and the threads ran out before the taper was fully seated? [ Meanig the taper was too far in the control arm hole] Any ideas? Can't wait to call Monday and see if I get any satisfaction out of them

your spindles could have been reamed at one point, but more likely they are Chinese crap. I like moog stuff, never had a problem with moog.
