most shops wont give u a warrenty when doin a shift kit. so it will probably void your warrenty on yoru rebuilt tranny if u had one.

those posi units come in a million different vehicles out there... I dunno why you guys buy these new posi units when they can be had for 1/3rd of the price from a local junkyard very easily.

2400 stall is a bit on the conservativve side for my tastes. i woudl look more around the 3000 area with an LT1 cam. it will take a little bit more rev to pull away from a light, but it will eb teh same on the higway and once you are rolling. it will be a big difference at teh track for sure since the LT1 cam shoudl put your peak torque in the 3400 rpm area.

once you are on the highway or cruising at a consistant speed above 40mph the convertor will lock up anyway. so it doesn't matter if it is a stock 1300 stall of a wild 4000 stall once you hit the highway. it will only make a small difference around town when pulling away from a stop. with a custom chip you can lower teh speed at which the convertor locks up to el;iminate a lot fo that difference too.

witrh any non lock up convertor you are gonna constntly cruise near teh rated stall speed of teh convertor. around town or on teh highway you are gonna see your mileage get killed with a non lock up.
