Performer EFI System for TBI
I was wondering if it is possible to put on a Edelbrock Performer EFI System in place of my current induction (which is the stock 305 intake and tbi). This efi system uses the same tbi and looks like it would work. I am wondering because i have a built 355 with edelbrock 60cc allumium heads, 10 to 1 compression, the cam is comp 12-256-4 212/218 at .050 and the gross lift is 449/456 . My current setup is not giving me what i really want which is low 13s to high 12s with nitrous. This is the link: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...1&autoview=sku
I am debating on scraping tbi and switch to tpi however i really dont want to do that because of the simplicity of how a throttle body system works. Please someone help me on what to do here.
Thanks

Do a search for it, there's a lot of info on this board about that. It's not the best option. Too expensive for what it's worth. TPI would choke that engine too, so don't bother spending the money to do that.
You're options are either get a good TBI intake and run a Holley 670 or 454 TBI and get into tuning PROMs to get the calibration right (ie. start reading the DIY PROM board).
Get a good carb intake and use a setup much like that of the Edelbrock by getting injector bungs welded into the intake and use your TBI on top for airflow and 8 injectors and swap in a 730 ECM.
Or...Get some aftermarket induction that's worth the money compared to the Edelbrock like a converted LT1 intake, Stealthram, Superram, Miniram. Something like that, you could go with a Commander 950 ECU or just swap in a GM 7730 ECM again.
Basically, all your options are going to involve tuning the computer for the combo. If you dont' want to tune it, carb it.
