i got tes headders for really cheep not even used and they are decent they have a lot of crap on flange of it, nothin a dermel cant fix and i have tooken off the air tubs and closed them up and grinded out the tubes within for they would not mess up the air flow too much. over all i belive that headders are very good to do. they can be a pain to install but there not too easy i dont know about slp or any thing but the TES are very easy did not want to take my knock sensor so i just took off the front bracket, surpintin, and it just sliped right in and on the drivers side just have to disconect steering coulum but that takes less than a min

i have edelbrocks. had to take off the pass valve cover and the steering shaft to get them in, but that is normal in our cars. they have all the air stuff too. i have been very happy with the headers but kinda pissed that the jet hot coating is rustin goff.

I got my TES Headers from Summit Racing. 1800-230-3030 or Summitracing.com If u get the Edelbrock TES headers, get this part number EDL-6872 There better than the TBI headers and they fit just as good. Just trust me.

50 state legal hookers. Not on yet. I might sell them and get SLPs. Their quality looks great but the 305 has 170k miles on it and I want something beefy like a 406 when its gone.

I have SLP 4-2-1 tri-y stainless . I'm special, haha
They work great and fit MUCH better than the newer SLP headers. I have a good 1.5" imbetween my steering and pri. pipe!
The only problem is changing the passenger side spark plugs. There is very little since the headers are so low profile.

Huh? Does this happen often? Is there something that went wrong with yours specifically, or is this standard practice for jet-hot?

Mine came with the car from the previous owner. They were installed with an official sticker on the radiator and everything. I'll take a picture of them today and post them up.

I got the 1 5/8 slp headers which i got from a group purchase on this site. I installed them myself and didn't have to touch any stearing components. I did remove the valve cover on the driver's side and also removed all air-conditioning equipment which made it 10 times easier to install on the passenger side.

Who the hell has Jet Hot that's "wearing off"? I have the Hooker long tube headers on my 440ci 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner Jet-Hotted and those things still look like they're right out of the damned box!

Edelbrock TES. Love them, took about 14 hours from start to finish. Still has AIR injection. I think they were worth the money. Made a real seat of the pants improvement.

Just get them coated, mine look real crappy already, and it's only been 5 months.

Edelbrock T.E.S. uncoated here as well. Been on there five years, with no problems other than they are ugly. But they have been uncoated and not one problem other than ruined a couple of header gaskets (not the headers fault, lol)

Hey NJ Speeder,

My jet-hot coated headers are also starting to rust after just 1 1/2 years. What do you need to do to get them recoated by Jet-Hot. I no longer have my bill, do I need it?? Later

I have the 1-5/8" SLP headers.Installed them when I replaced the motor.Accessories were still off motor when I did it, so nothing was in the way.Bought them from Summit, along with Flowmaster 3" Cat-Back,Dual 3" Outs and 3" Slip-Fit Cat.Installed it all in one day & took it to an exhaust shop to remove clamps and weld as soon as it was back on the road.
