Dart Block came today

Got my Dart Little M Block in today form Flatlander Racing. They are pretty good people to deal with and have good price. Anyway I just thought I would post these pics for a few guys that wanted to see the block when it came.

Flatlander had the best price that I had found on the Dart blocks at $1669.00 plus they had free shipping on the block, so that saved me another $80-$100.

With the right parts (and a massive wallet) you could build a 427 or even a 454 mouse motor with that

I've seen it done. Once i think was in Hot Rod magazine. The other was in a '68 Camaro.. it was built to 427 ci.

Congrats on the purchase. I'm looking into the same thing.

Nice setup by the way.

A friend of mine is running a 400 motown block with eagle crank and rods and recently ran low 9s.

Sounds like you've got a pretty bullet proof engine

Question about the blocks. Anybody know the diff in the little M and the iron eagle blocks? And i'm not knocking you superman cause I am thinking of going to dart block but you think that getting a good block is actually worth the money? I've seen fully prepped 400 blocks that look good for 800 but I plan on pushing almost 500Hp with my 406. Thanks.

I can't wait till the day I can afford and aftermarket block....

Sounds like a solid setup, have you picked the cam yet? How big of a shot are you planning on running?

its a aftermarket block.

and no it doesnt have provisions for a factory style "spider" roller lifter setup

but like all other small blocks, he can run any aftermarket roller system he wants... the only downsize to aftermarket over factory rollers is cost....

I've done business with Flatlander, also. Good service. Good luck with that beauty, Superman.

Superman I emailed flatlander to see if the 400 was all 4 bolt mains and they said all 5 mains were 4 bolt. Why isn't yours in the pic all 4 bolt mains?
