Fuel Fiter clogged?
im still working out the kinks with my new motor, now the carb isn't getting any fuel. there is fuel on fuel pump side of the fuel fiter, but on the carb side of filter, nothing. i bought a cheapo chrome 5 dollar inline fuel fiter, and it seems clogged.
can i run the motor for a few minutes without it?
isn't there a fuel filter in the fuel line further back near the tank

alright thats not it..... the fuel pump isn't pumping jack. i poured a little gas into the carb and got it to fire, and the fuel pump isn't doing a damn thing.
it is a holley, mechanical, brand new. it has only 2 threaded ports on it and one port that isn't threaded, and looks like it is blocked off on the inside. it is the farthest one to the left. im using the middle one for the fuel from the tank, and the right one to the carb. but the fuel pump documentation didn't say which port is which, and it doesn't say on the fuel pump so i have no idea.
i think im going to hook up the stock one and see if i can't get the motor running for right now.
but this is just pissing me off...
the motor was running last night for like 20min
and then it just started to cut out, now it won't start.
and i syphened fuel out of the line. and im getting feed up with this thing

Go up and read it again! He said "It is a Holley, Mechanical, Brand new. I didn't say Holley didn't make Elect. fuel pumps! I rest my case. We don't even know what he's working with here. Could be a farm tractor for all we know! Didn't mean to **** you off! I apoligize. Back to his problem! I would make sure that their both the same first, some had long arm, some had short! Could even be a bad pump. The pump should be marked inlet outlet Or an arrow at least. Seems odd that the old pump worked and the new one doesn't.
