Wiped out the cam/lifteres, need a new cam

Alright, never tell your friend, who is somewhat car knowledged, how to tighten the lash and then let him do it. 11 of the 16 lifters have collapsed do to over tightening. Not sure if the cam is damaged at all or not. Thank goodness it was only a Crane stock replacement.

Anyways, i need a new cam. Ive got my theories, i need yours. This is going on a 355. Its got a stock stall speed (for the rest of this year at least). 3.23 gears are out back and im going to run some new slugs, probably around 9:1 - 9.5:1 compression with 64cc chambers. The heads i will be using are Pro Lightning 220's. (because i have a solid roller that will go in this winter and will want to breathe). So toss out your ideas.

Ive got a friend that is willing to sell me a brand new bracket master II cam (the one with like 230/230° @ .050 and .488/.488 lift. It has a 2000-6000 range. Brand new cam and lifters for $50. I dont need anything to radical.

like a temp cam to just get you thru a few months?

ive always liked the summit cams for that... they're cheap and come with lifters and lube.

Yea i looked at them, and theres a few that are interesting.

The cam will be in the engine this summer/fall. WHen the car goes into storage next winter, it gets a heart transplant.

Buy your friends cam and stuff for cheap, if it only temporary. With 220cc heads it will probably be a dog anyway until you get the roller cam.

Alright, yea the heads part crossed my mind. Is what im thinking of doing, and probably will end up doing, is getting the bare Pro Lightnings and seting them up for the roller stuff. In the meantime ill just run the 416's with new springs and stuff.
