Help me with my P.O.S.

About the irratic idle....I replaced the IAC motor and it didn't help. I've replaced so far, the alternator, all ignition parts except for the coil, the IAC motor, checked for vacuum leaks, checked for codes, none. I don't know where to turn. My car is killing me. Also, my VATS is messed up....My car won't start about 40% of the time. I tried to bypass it, all it did was blow resisters. Should I take it to the dealer? My clutch switch was also replaced, now not sure if it's going again....my car trailor hitches severly, now I think the U-joints are bad. My rear end still leaks even though I replaced the seal, and it sounds like the gears are about to fall out. My posi-unit only works half of the time. The speedo bounces around like crazy, I can't tell how fast i'm going, I have to guess. Even though my car has been repainted, it's going to hell again....no gloss....peeling. Of course, my t-tops leak real bad when it rains. My interior is falling apart, all the plastic pieces keep breaking. the seats are torn and stained...looks like hell. same with carpet...my headliner is separated from the roof, looks real bad w/ the t-tops off. The visors won't stay up, AT ALL. More about car....I had to wire the fans to a switch, this sucks, cause I forget to turn it on or leave it off, and the connection to the switch isn't good, so when I hit a bump it disconnects then reconnects, turning off the relay...even though the light of the switch is on, my car overheats. Along with the idle bouncing up and down, sometimes dying, I want to drive this car off a cliff. Then there's a whole bunch of little stuff that doesn't work or works only sometimes. For example, my backup lights turn on for a couple seconds, then just turn off till I go into reverse again.(no big deal but it's annoying) The horn button on my Grant GT steering wheel flys off every time I use the horn, which causes it to get stuck on. Soooo embarrasing. Ask my ex-gf when I took her home at 2 in the morning and my horn started blaring. Then there's all the severe rattles in my car...so bad I can't even hear my music at a normal level. Some of the rear defroster doesn't work, the some that's in my view. There is SOOOOOOO much more to list it would take all day.....Yes I know a lot of these are not hard fixes, but add them all up at once and you'll get my point. Even when I do fix something, two more things break. Any idea's on anything? I'm stuck with this stupid piece so I need to get it to start, and keep running instead of dying. I can't buy a new car, not enough credit, even though it's great. This is also for you guys who said my car can't be that bad......Well it is, and worse. Somebody kill me now?

OMG! This was waaaay back in the day...well, an update. I sold it Sep. 2000 for $3500. I NEVER should have. I now have a '96 Talon TSi AWD that is costing me ALOT more. I got it with my mothers' co-signature. I bought it for $12,500. It runs right most of the time, though. About all the problems listed above, a couple of them were fixed before I sold it, but none of the major ones. I just realized, while all of the probs listed are true, I exaggerated quite a bit on some. What I should have done was buy a little cheap gettaround vehicle while I slowly restored the Iroc. Well, i'm making more money now, so that would be easier. Well, live and learn. On the other hand, I am having SEVERE withdrawals, and will do almost anything to get another Iroc for cheap. Anyone know where I can get one. Also, i'm still wondering about that erratic idle (to keep this tech related...). Does anyone have any idea's now on what it might have been? Thanks,
Steven

Correction to your sig: The LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Get it right.

Most any financial adviser will tell you the cheapest car to own is the one you already have. You've just learned that lesson the hard way. For now, your Talon is the cheapest car for you to own.

It is also said that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. You can't go home. The good old days weren't all that good. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. A fool and his money are soon parted. If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes. Why settle for one if you can get two for twice the price?
