Lack of power??
OK folks, 91 GTA L98 motor, new heads, the problem is....... I can't even so much as chirp the tires. The car feels like it has all the power, as it will accelerate quickly, i can floor it while moving and it will accelerate with no problem. I just think that a 350 should be able to spin the tires a little bit.
Could it be a transmission issue? It feels like the car shifts into 2nd to soon, and when decelerating it kinda jerks when it down shifts. Would just flushing the tranny, putting a new filter and fluid in fix that, or is it the tranny going **** up?
I'm not a car mechanic troubleshooter yet, but if i can get a wrench to it, i can figure out how to fix it.
Thank you for your support:hail:

car accelerates nicely, then why would you want it to spin the tires? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of being able to accelerate fast? What good is a fast car that when you step on the pedal it goes up in smoke?

Nick, the egr valve comment was your recommendation to me in the tpi section. From the sound of things you need a little more schooling before handing out advise!!! As for your problem, there are alot of things to factor in. Gear ratio, tire height and width, rubber compound, cam profile. Start with the basics first. Check the fuel pressure under load. Even better test it on a dyno with four gas analyzer hooked up. If the motor is running right I wouldnt worry about it. 88iroc is correct, spinning tires only slow's ya down and costs more money.
