First one looks like a knock sensor... second is the EGR control Solinoid.

Knock goes on the passenger side of the block... just below the head... or around there.

EGR Solinoid, on my car, goes right under the bracket for the Coil. I have the remote coil BTW.

good save vernw... made the app. correction

Actually, I think he meant to say the KNOCK SENSOR goes on the passenger side of the block... just below the head...

i've read around on here hell of a lot, and time and time again i have seen it stated that an 84 lg4 didnt have a knock sensor and it got one in 85 when the compression was raised to that of the HO, so whats the deal?

Looks like the coolant temp sender for the gauge, except that the threaded section from the picture looks too small to fit. Check the driver's side head between plugs 1 & 3, otherwise I'm not sure.

First sensor goes on the back of the passenger side head. I have no clue what it does.....

Second one is EGR solenoid.
