Are you getting the balanced rotating assembly from eagle?? That set up that you are talking about is very similar, or could even be the same as the one I have. The only thing that I have had a problem is clearance issues between the SIR I-Beam rods with the cam. I returned the old cam and ordered a small base circle (1.050” base) and I am just waiting for it to get here so I can put it in (hopefully by next weekend). I hope that it fixes the problem but if it doesn’t then I’m going to have to take a little off the bolts. To avoid this problem all together you could get the ESP 3-D connecting rods but there like $300 more bucks!! But that set up will kick a**, can’t wait till mine is running. So what happened to your motor I see in big letters on your sig that it blew up!? What happened? Well I hope this helps out.

That’s cool that your going to piece it together, I think that my cam is a little too small for a 383 but I think it will do for now. Let me know what cam you do decide to go for. O and one more thing are you going to balance the assembly yourself or are you going to take it to a shop. I’m thinking that it would be best for you if you assemble the assembly including the cam to see if everything clears and if it doesn’t you can get it cleared and balanced all at the same time. It would suck if you had to balance your assembly twice which I might be doing. It might take longer but it could save you money!!

I just read about your motor dying on you. That’s really no good but at least you’re now going to a 383!!
