what did you do to fix this leak?
Hey everyone, I found my exhaust leak! That is the good news, the not so good news is that it is at my passenger side manifold at the heat riser. There is no gasket there and apparently there isn't meant to be there is no part number. I don't really know what to do when it was off when I pulled the engine I put it on the belt sander to get the pitting out of the valve but not the manifold because the studs were in there good. So I figure there are four
options.
1. Weld the valve onto the manifold.
2. Resurface the manifold and try again.
3. Find some worthy gasket material and make one.
4. Find a gasket from something else and use it.
Those are my only realistic options at this point, I would prefer not to remove the manifold it would be less invasive and reduce the chance of other problems rearing up as a result of this repair. Options 1 and 2 almost definitely warrant removing the manifold so they would both be a little more than I would like to bite off at this time with my schedule.
Any input is welcome and appreciated!

I had that problem a while back. I took the heat riser to NAPA and had them find me a gasket that fit. It's been fine since.
