I was wondering if I would benefit a lot more if I were to go with 215cc heads on my 383 rather than 200cc. It will still be the same brand of heads(dart Pro 1 platinum.) I will be using nitrous too and havent figured if its that much beneficial?

200cc should be enough but depends on your rpm goals and cam choice. higher revs near/over 6500 rpms should use the 215cc. 200 cc will be great up to 6500.

I am using 195cc AFR's for my 383 and i'm looking for some power AFR's are known to flow very well despite the port size being smaller than some heads.

im going to be going with the 215s i think. the same heads you have. the alum. ones i take it? my 383 is im hoping to make over 500hp and then give it some booster juice (NOS). my engine is more for drag racing tho. so ill probably be near the 6000 - 7000 area.

i heard afew people saying 215s are abit much. and to go with 200s or even 195s.
im still figuring if i should get the 200s or 215s. so im on the same boat as you are.
tho the 230s are way to much. dont get thos.

you dont want a motor that is dependent on the nitrous.. if you have enough cam and compression, with good valvetrain, the 215's are for you.. if small cam and lower compression, go with the 200's..

guy listen air speed is the only key to making horsepower with those heads you see if you cant get the airspeed up then these heads are gonna hurt you until you get on the big end and the engine is way up in the rpms several ways to do this ,very light reciprocating assembly ie.crank,rods and pistons .as far as cam is concerned nothing hydraulic only a good solid lift or a solid roller you need at least 3500 + convertor and some gears ,if you plan on using nitrous then a 3.73 would be good if not 4.10 or 4.56 s the purpose of the gears and convertor are to get you moving from a standstill trust me you want good sixty foot times the heads will do their job on the big end but get up the air speed and youll love those heads --------------bigzeke355cid92bird
