What does it mean when "whiney" sounds when turning?
I just wanted to know what parts or common problems could possibly be wrong. I have been noticing lately that Im starting to hear a "whiney" sound when I turn the steering wheel to the left or right more so then none. I checked the power steering fluid, its full any suggestions?
I know im a lil ......

Could be that your power steering pump is going bad.Is it getting harder to turn the steering wheel?

Check the power steering fluid level, its probably low. Check the hoses from the PS pump to the steering box for leaks - if one of the hoses is leaking, it will probably be the return hose (the one thats just clamped on) and its pretty easy to fix.

Uh, he already said the resevoir was full. So, two options, either the pump is going bad (just had to replace mine) or you have a hose binding. You can TRY some power steering sealer/conditioner, but usually, once they start making noise, they are on the way out.

Well the belts are tight, the fluid is full, and it only seems o make noise after about 10-15 min of driving, the steering wheel does get a little tighter when it starts to make the noise, So looks like I should just replace the steering pump, is that right? I looked some up and there not so expensive, and looks like a bolt on-bolt off job. , ethier that or Im Am i also suppose to fill the master cylinder and the tank on the steering pump itself?
O yes and Thanks to those who took the time to read and answer my question.

you checked PS fluid someplace other than at the pump itself?

Only fill the reservoir on the pump don't add power steering fluid to your master cylinder that's for your brakes.
