Why is my belt setup different? --Pics--
I was researching AIR removal, and everyone is talking about a serp belt for the AIR pump. Also, in a majority of the pics I saw, the A/C is on the PASS. side of the engine. My A/C is on the DRIVER side.....and the AIR pump is driven by it's own v-belt off the water pump. While this does make it easier for me to do the AIR delete, I want to know why my setup is different.
Thanks
Thanks

I think I remeber hearing something about this before. Was your car assembled in Canada? Don't know why it's bringing up a stored file in the back of my head.

Thanks!
The front end does look like it's been in a collision and reassembled. However, I can't imagine someone completely re-routing the A/C and custom belts, etc. I assume this is still some sort of odd-ball stock set-up?

Really? I can see this causing issues when asking for belts at auto shops.....cause a lot of people wouldn't know which to ask for.

It's stock for an 87. Just take the belt off. This is a picture of my 87 IROCZ in stock form. Of corse one of the first things I did to it was add a serp setup. Adam :-)
