Hey guys i hope you can help me i just replaced my intake gasket and fuel injectors on my 350 tbi. The car starts up fine like normal idles about 750 rpm but when you go to shift it into reverse or drive and then left off the gas the car stalls out dont know what is causing this any suggestions. have changed the iac and tps. thank you
its an automatic it origanally had a 305 in it and a switched it to a 350 and just finally had the money to replace the intake and fuel injectors i think it might be a bad brake booster when i first started it after the swap it ran fine and i relized the hose wasnt hooked up and then thats when it started need to get timing back set right and battery stay charged long enough to check for shure but any other suggestions would be great
yes it ran normal you could say just didnt have any power when i put back everything together it ran fine too except i forgot to hook the vacum hose to the brake booster and tried to drive it did fine just breaks hard to press then check and hooked the vacum up to the booster then started doing this

I just have paid better attention to your thread. I would say the check valve is shot or the filter could be cracked ( the odd ball thing in the line). For under 10 bucks I would replace these first. Let me know

The check valve's primary purpose in simply to hold vacuum in the booster for a few assisted brake applications if the booster vacuum source is lost. If there was a problem with the check valve or filter it would be the same as a large vacuum leak or there would be no power assist at any time (engine running or not)

If the engine ran fine after the intake and injector replacement with the booster vacuum hose disconnected That is a large vacuum leak. the motor probably would not idle much less run very well if at all. If it ran "fine" until you connected the booster hose then started having your issues I would suspect a fuel issue. If it can run fine with that large a vacuum leak it is more than likely getting an ungodly amount of fuel. You may want to rethink your choice or question the quality of injectors since the intake and injectors wwere the only things you changed. I would also check the FPR for a leaking diaphram allowing fuel to get sucked into the intake. Simply look at the vacuum hose (FPR) and see if there is fuel in it.
