350tpi won't start
I have a 1988 trans am gta with a 350tpi engine. It has spark and I belove of is getting gas cuz I smell it and must be getting air cuz it misfires. It goes pop pop pop pop continuously but doesn't start I checked the timing like the book said line up balancer at the 0 degree mark On timing cover and set the distributer to number one firing Position, can anyone tell me why It won't start thank you

You could be 180* off on timing if you did this and weren't on the compression stroke.

To both of you. Something is not on the money here. I would double check everything again to make sure. Timing, wires, fuel pressure, filter. Go over it again one more time. Sounds like timing to me G-Reg might have it right could be something simple, Good luck
