Gas pedal doesnt return
Im not tht familiar with cars so forgive me if this question seems a little ..dumb. My gas pedal doesnt return all the way. When i push the pedal and take my foot off it returns but not enough to stop the car for accelerating. Even in park if the car revs due to the pedal. Can some1 please tell me whats possibly wrong and what might need to be replaced. Thank you

Re: Gas pedal doesnt return
yeah it's name is "throttle return spring"
You will find it connected to the motor in some way or another. Follow the throttle cable from the firewall to the motor. Whatever mechanism that cable operates will have a spring attached which forces return. If that's broken or disconnected in some way, you will experience the symptoms you described.
Hope this helps.
