Hi, I just recently bought a 1992 Camaro RS 5.0L v8 with automatic transmission from a dude off of craigslist. I test drove it and it drove fine and for the price I got it for it was a real good deal anyway you look at it. So I drove it home and for the first 2 or 3 days it drove fine...then all of a sudden it stalled out on me twice while driving it...it would start back up right away though. It then progressed over the next several days, to stall out more frequently to the point where it will not start up now at all. I bought some carb cleaner and sprayed it into the air filter and it will start up now, but I can only drive it a few minutes before it stalls out again. My friend said he hears the fuel pump come on, the car is cranking fine but just wont turn over...it is getting spark. From my research so far it seems this is a very common problem with this year camaro...so can any of you camaro veterans give me some advice as to what to start with? I am going to start by changing the fuel filter and if it still isnt fixed my next idea was the fuel pump??

From what I read it can be numerous things i.e - (fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pump relay, ignition control module, ignition coil, etc etc..)

I bought my 92 off of craigslist and it did the exact same thing, the fuel pump would kick on and everything, so I changed the filter and that didnt do it. Turns out it was the fuel pump
