1983 z28 tbi c/f injection
I did not know where to post this question. I need a fuel pump for 83 z28 c/f injection. it is located in the tank. I don't know what brand of fuel pump to buy. when I go to parts stores online, they don't tell me what psi rating is. question: what brand and pressure rating electric fuel pump should I buy for stock z28 as described above.

Re: 1983 z28 tbi c/f injection
the stock crossfire fuel pressure is regulated at the TBI to ~10-13 PSI,IIRC the original pump is rated at around 20PSI deadhead.I have a walbro turbine in my crossfire, but it was originally meant for a chrysler application and took some minor modifications to fit.I think walbro is good,AC delco used to be good but i have heard recent delco pumps are just chinese junk in a GM box...A TPI pump is often used as an uprade on crossfires-pump pressure is higher, but pressure regulator will keep pressure regulated to original pressure setting.Only minor modifications are needed to install a TPI pump on a crossfire.Main thing is not to install a junk chinese pump

You'll have a hard time today finding a parts manufacturer, Walbro included, that doesn't have a manufacturing facility in China. Actually, after a few bumps in the beginning, quality of parts manufactured overseas is getting to be much better, thankfully. There are very few parts made in the USA anymore. Only some of the better aftermarket pieces. Hopefully, this trend will turn around in time but as long as value is mistaken for low price, things will stay as they are.
