86 TPI IROC Idles High HELP!!!!

Car: 1986 305 IROC Z
Engine: 305 tpi
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.42
86 TPI IROC Idles High HELP!!!!
I have been trying to get my old IROC to run and it is idling around 1000 rpm or so... Any ideas on how to get it a bit lower.... The car has been sitting for awhile it is also fluctuating from open to close loop at idle.... The fans are also always on so I thinking the coolant temp switch for the ECM. The computer is working though my old AUTO XRAY is giving me info as far as Coolant temp, MAF Throttle Sensor, Prom id, Engine RPM, MAT, Knock sensor, IAC, O2 Sensor EGR, Sadly I have no idea what it all means.!!!! It is running just poorly. It also needs a new exhaust cat back.. What would be a good one?

Timing is set to stock...... Any chance it may be old gas? It has been in the tank for awhile...

HOW MANY AND WHAT TYPE OF SENSORS CAN THE SCANNER YOU HAVE LOOK AT? CAN YOU POST A LIST OF SENSOR TYPE AND READING?

FUEL OLDER THAN A YEAR IS MOST LIKELY A DETONATION OR ENG KNOCK WAITING TO HAPPEN. COMPLETELY DRAIN TANK , INSPECT INSIDE OF TANK WITH FLASHLITE IF POSSIBLE. CHANGE FUEL FILTER AND CUT OPEN OLD ONE LOOK FOR SLUDGE AND CORROSSION. REFILL WITH NEW FUEL IF OLD FILTER PASSES INSPECTION. IF NOT THE INSIDE OF THE TANK MITE BE TOO SLUDGED UP TO RUN.

LOOK AT THE COOLANT TEMP SENSOR READING ON THE SCANNER. SHOULD BE SAME AS MANIFOLD AIR TEMP READING WHEN ENG COLD. AS ENG WARMS UP CTS OR ECT READING SHOULD SLOWLY RISE TO 195*F. IS THERMOSTAT OPENING UP WHEN ENG WARMED UP ?

If the fans are allways on there a few possiable causes, previous owner rewired the fans to a switched power. Bad ecm or incorrect or poorly seated memcal. If this was a tpi conversion pin D11 of your ecm in 86 is normally closed to ground. If this wire is open the ecm will command on the fan.
Looks like your scanner shows bogus information , a map on a maf car !
The idle GPS is fine
The iac steps is to high it should be 15-30 when the engine is warm. If your trying to burn stale fuel it is alot less flammable start with getting that out of the system.
Then figure out why the fans are running all the time , if the ecm is bad this can cause all kinds of odd running issues.
