Electric power shuts off when I attempt to start car
The car has electric power when I put the key in the ignition but as soon as I attempt to crank it over, I hear a click and all the power shuts off for 30 seconds to a minute and then comes back on. Happens each time I try to start even with jumper cables connected. Battery is less than a year old so I'm not sure what the problem is. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If this happens even with another battery/jumper cables they you probably have a bad battery connection (not necessarily at the battery but somewhere in the main power distribution). Whats happening is as soon as you turn key there's enough of a load where either the battery voltage is loaded down or there is a substantial voltage drop across a connections (leaving nothing significant for your car).
I would measure the voltage at your battery while you try to start the car. If the battery voltage drops, the load is too great for your battery/batteries (indicating maybe a bad battery, starter, or short). If the battery voltage does not drop then you have a bad connection probably at the starter or block.

Clean the batt cable connections. Both ends of ALL cables, AND the batt itself, AND whatever the ends of the cables bolt to. AND, if the cables have the bolt-on ends, take those off and clean the wires AND the connectors.
Did I mention "clean", "ends", "cables", "AND", enough?
Use baking soda and hot water, with a wire brush, as your cleaner.
