After crank issue!

So this has been an on going issue for a few weeks to month's time. Anytime I crank my 89 IrocZ 350 TPI, it will crank up. More often than not, it will act as if it's flooding when i apply the slightest pedal from initial crank. I'll leave the gas pedal alone. After a about a minute or less, the motor will choke as if its about to die, spool back to operating rpm (600) and then its fine. Drives normal. Accelerate normal.

Things I've replaced
MAF
Vacuum lines at T connector to EGR Canister at the nose of the car (dry rotted)

Things I've tested
TPS - 0 volts at ignition "on" (the Volt reader doesn't read points apparently) 4volts at WOT

I've tried to think logically as to what would cause this problem, but at a wits end. Now I'm here to see if anyone else had this issue, at what could possibly solve this issue..
Shes my daily!
Thanks in Advance and After

Re: After crank issue!

Gotta start somewhere , and since it sounds like it could be fuel related I'd start with checking the fuel pressure .

Re: After crank issue!

Now hypothetically speaking, if it's due to the fuel pressure, would it be as "simple" as replacing the fpr?

Also, if it was fuel pressure, wouldn't that mean it should do it thru out the time i'm driving and not just after initial crank?

I'm not only trying to solve the problem, but also understand why its happening lol

Also, I had future plans on buying one of those fancy ALDL connectors to USB and using my laptop to monitor whats going on with my motor. Would that data it log be able pick up on fuel related info?
