Actually, they'll run as low as mid 15's in the 1/4 mile. Mid 16's is more likely the LS with the 3400.
It should still be a close race, considering the mods on the LO3.

I think it would be a close race cuz the weight should be about the same and the lo3 makes up for any possible hp disadvantage with its torque. But sober333, are you gonna race your dad or what?

It will be very close. One thing is for sure, even if you loose you will still look better than that Monte Carlo.

Sorry it took so long for me to respond to this but i was a cedar point for the weekend. Any way this is what happend in the race: First from a dead stop my lo3 took him pretty good. by the time we where up to 65 or 70 i had about a car and ahalf on him.
Then we had to slow down for the next light. Then he said he wanted to race me on the highway. I said ok so we raced from about 75 and at first it wass pretty even but then his car started slowly pulling away and continued to do so up untill about 110 then we had to slow down for cars in front of us.

Good kill/death. It was a very close race like many here said it would. Finally, someone posted a result from a theoretical question.

Not supriseing highway result. I came up with the same result with a monte on the high way. My little RS just couldn't hold with it at anything about 100. The damn thing just kept pulling, but then again i have stock 2.73 gears and the final drive on those front drivers is probably a bit higher. Still good to hear you beat him from a stop.

He took it pretty well acutally he said he expected to lose from a stop. He is now trying to get performance parts for the monte so he can beat me from a stop too. I am trying to keep my rs above water and not lose to v-6s.
