Pontiac Vibe GT or Toyota Matrix?
Which is faster? I had a Vibe GT pull up next to me when I was driving my Camaro a couple months ago and throw revs at me. What are the specs on the two>?

It's the exact same car. They're both made in the same plant in California, just badged different. I wonder if Pontiac screwed it up and made it more expensive than the Toyota, since all I see are Matrix's and haven't witnessed a Vibe on the street yet.

If you want to buy one.....
If, for some unforseen reason, any of you guys decide that it would make a good grocery getter.....DON'T BUY ONE...... I used to work at the plant that made the back glass, and because of the design that they made it (13 holes in the glass for mounting the hatch stuff) they are prone to breaking....EASILY....

I was crusing along in my dads honda accord with 3 of my friends, when all of a sudden a teal mercury topaz Xr5 rolled up beside me. I asked what he had done to it and he told me "nothing, stock as the day they came out".. I said "let's run em" and proceded to put one arm in the racing position (12 Oclock, blocking my peripheral vision).. We finally got a light and he began to rev at me. I didn't know they were that incredibly mean. The light turned green and I spun the tires a bit, he got off the line and pulled 10 cars to 50 MPH. At the next light, a Yellow Corvette Z06 was sitting up there, he had just purged his nitrous bottle. He rolled down the window after witnessing the awesome display of raw ford power and said "I don't want any of that".. He then gave the XR5 driver the thumbs up and the mighty XR5 strolled away. It is such an atrocity that ford has ruined the only performance car in their entire lineup. No wonder everyone is buying cavalier Z24's now.

Not to mention it can go around corners without sending sparks from all that frt biased understeer.....

The Vibe/Matrix is just a Celica with another set of doors.
