OLD 300ZX Turbo vs. My L98

I was on my way to drop my friend off after I had been having problems early in the morning with my car overheating, but I took him home after school anyways. I was at a light and the 300 ZX Turbo was next to me...had an exhaust, and was stick, I saw him rocking it back and forth...So the light turns green and he is holding his RPMs up high and he slips the clutch and hooks and I let it go to about 1100 RPM and then BAMN!!! I see the front of my bird raise up like it has never done before!!! WHOA!!!! My bird loves this 40* weather!!! I pass him with my nose up in the air and my friend is like " Damn man, how do you make your car do that ?" and I was like "you just gotta learn how to drive your car "...and he tells me that he just mashes it right out of the hole....I told him not to cause spinning tire just makes you lose time. He has a CJ-7 Jeep Wrangler Rio Grande Edition with what use to be a 4 cyl, but after alot of pressure from me and the need for more power...he dropped in a 350 V8 with a 700R4...he still needs some mods...but he is getting there...well when I hit second I just let off cause I knew this wasn't going to be much of a race and I didn't have too much gas left anyways....well he does the typical ***** fly by..but I don't consider that a kill....I was just messing around with the poor gangster wanna-be homie G thug.....AARON

The twin turbo 300ZXs have a small black spoiler on the rear hatch. Or he could have heard the turbo kick in.

the trunk

on the trunk in black letters overlaying orange it said 300ZX Turbo, it looked to me as an original lettering, all older Z's I have seen with this on the same spot, know what im talking about? on the rear hatch....anyways...thats how I know....AARON

300z

I own a 92' z L98 simple bolt on mods exhaust, chip etc etc. Well my buddy owns a 90' twin turbo z in very good shape i must say and a few mods. We line up one night after work from a dead stop light turns green i gun and he guns it, we both smoke em good off the line. When i do regain traction i pull about a car and a half to 2 cars on him..that torque down low is nice butttt..after he got rollin just a touch i got smoked. My car represented itself very well but was outclassed. I'm not an import lover but watchout those cars if properly modded can haul some Butt as well..but give me my v-8....

Well the ironic thing is the number one most sought after mod for a z car of that era is one of our 350 engines. Now with that, they would haul tail.

Nice kill. I love the way my IROC rises when I gun it too. It's great. I miss it in my '99 though.
