Kills so far after the t5 swap

Only 2 but

1. late 90s eclipse non-turbo, usually wont waste time with stuff like this but I just finished my swap and hadnt tore it up yet, plus the car had a fart tip and stupid tail lights. This one was so easy it wasnt funny

2. on the highway...a late 90s early 00s BMW 740, from about 60 to 80, not so easy but I still won

Nice kills, I bet you're having fun with the good old T5.... I can't wait to get my new tranny (blew up my NWC T5, now I'm getting a WC T5) so I can drive my car again.

Yes, it makes a huge difference. Not only are the gears more evenly spread, but it's fun to drive. Plus you can "stall" it at whatever rpm you want unlike an auto which has a fixed stall. Manual cars will always be faster (with a good driver) than an auto because of the lower gears and you can shift faster with a manual. It's definitely worth it to swap, you'll be much happier with it.

kfoley, i totally agree, changing mine from an auto made a gigantic difference in speed and gas mileage and of course its way more fun than just stepping on the gas to go

I don't know, depends on the driver... anywhere from .1 to .4 or so I would think.

I dropped it in yesterday and took it for a drive today, let me tell you, WOW, what a difference. It was very smooth and didn't feel "notchy" like my old one. It was like driving a whole new car. Feeling this tranny I'm almost certain my original tranny was screwed when I bought the car (or maybe the NWC's feel like that).... In a few weeks we'll see how it holds up to a 500hp 406....

I disagree with the you can shift faster with a manual, I have owned nothing but manuals and don't like to drive autos, but I don't think you can ever shift faster than an automatic. The joy of the manual is you can keep it on a specific gear longer and drop a gear. Just my opinion. Please don't flame

I was refering to shifting faster than stock autos, however race prepped ones you wouldn't have a chance in hell shifting faster....
