Complete kill list for the IROC

Now that the IROC is sold, I thought I'd post the kill list that it compiled. There were several more cars, but they aren't worth listing. Enjoy:

1. 2 Audi TT’s - On the street, no contest
2. 89 Turbo Trans Am - I have a vid of this race at the track, I LEAVE him BAD out of the hole, no contest.
3. 67 GTO - Very close race, I have a vid of this too, also at the track. I spun pretty hard off the line though, my usual 60' of 1.71-3 was a high 1.9 on this run.
4. LS1 Camaro, slightly modded - At the track, spanked out of the hole, pretty close on top end.
5. LS1 Camaro SS - Spanked REALLY bad on the street
6. 70 Challenger - No contest, at the track
7. Mitsu Starion, upgraded turbo and intercooler, exhaust - SMOKED him on the street
8. LT1 Camaro - Stock, no contest
9. 4 different 5.0L Stang’s - On the street, all easy kills, except for one
10. 99 Mustang Cobra - This was on the street, close at the beginning (I spun bad), then I pulled on him pretty easy. He ran 13.4 at track.
11. Talon TSI, sounded like aftermarket turbo, all I know. Not close.
12. 64 Mustang, slicks and skinnies - At the track, no contest

Most of these were total spankings, except for one of the 5.0L Stangs. He had all kinds of mods done, rebuilt motor, and we were dead even until he missed a gear. We were both EXTREMELY traction limited though on a crappy street.

The ROC will be missed.

Buckeye, hope you got what you wanted for the Iroc. Do you plan on just modding the TA now, or are you just moving to another project?

I got my minimum out of it. I wouldn't have sold it for any less.

I was going to really dig into the LS1 or start a 68 Charger project. But plans have changed and I'm going to invest the money for awhile. Plus, I haven't really decided what car I want to build up yet. I could retire the LS1 from daily duty and go for 10's N/A, or buy a 68 Charger for around $10k in decent shape and build it up over time, or do a 70 Boss 302 clone w/ a turbo 5.0L, there are so many options. I need some time to figure out exactly what I want, b/c I plan to go pretty radical, spend a good amount of money, and keep whatever the next car is a LONG time.

For now, I'm just going to get a WS6 hood for the T/A. Maybe 4.10's, headers, LS6 intake and a 230-ish cam down the road if I decide to keep it the daily driver.

I just have too much going on this summer with work and other investments to do much with any car. Which is good in some ways, bad in others. It'll pay off in a couple years though.

Good luck with your combo Camarojoe, I seriously love it.

Not bad thinking. Invest now, build it later. I'm glad you at least got your minimum out of it bro. I really hope that car went to a good home. I LOVE that car. If I'd had money, I would have owned it. Oh well, I have my own to concentrate on atm. It needs much. Anyway, good luck with whatever project you go with man. Your car will be missed. Hopefully you'll stay around and drop in now and then. Take care.

Yeah goodluck, Buckeye. I'm sure that adrenaline rush from a fast car will always be in your veins. Hope to see you around here once in a while.

Peace.

Cool stuff.

i used to drive my Z28 around on the street a fairly good bit, but no one really every wanted to play. Car's so ugly they probably thought it was a 15 second car, and i never instigated anything.

The only three street races i've had with it with that 350 in it were a Stock C5 vette.. it was really ugly. A Z06 vette... same deal gave him a three time whooping before he gave up.

And the only one that every took the bait after i had the roll bar in was a modded viper, the only one that was close.. he burned me off the line, I reeled em in and passed em by mid second. he caught me when i ran outta gear around 125. gave me a wave and we slowed down chuckled and went out ways.

Best ET i had with it last year was an 11.96 @113.5 after the tranny nuked was just starting to play with the jets when the case of the4 trans split on me

Pony Killer, how come you refer to your car in past tense? Do you still have it?

Ended up getting $9500 for it. Tough to guage what these cars are worth after you mod so much, just need to find a buyer who likes the mods you've done.

I can tell you that if you did ALL the work yourself, you couldn't take a FREE IROC and put the parts and paint, etc that were on that car for only $9500. And the car itself had only 87k miles and was in awesome, clean condition. Prob $5500-6500 for the car if it was bone stock.

That's expected though when you start doing a lot of mods
